SlideSleuth works with YouTube videos that can be viewed using their source URL, including public and unlisted videos. Spoken analysis requires accessible supported English captions. Some videos may be unavailable or unsuitable for visual analysis.

The browser demo and desktop app let you explore preview analyses without an account: read the summary and preview the first ten slide explanations. Plus and Pro unlock fresh analysis in the desktop app, complete slide results, chat, saved history, and favourites. Analysis and chat use your plan’s allowance. The browser demo cannot generate new analysis.
Ask about the video or mention a slide number. Chat uses the available slide visuals, explanations, summary, and presenter commentary to explore your question. Plus and Pro include chat, subject to your allowance. AI answers can be incomplete or wrong; check important conclusions against the source video.
You can revisit video summaries with their slide analyses. Chat conversations last for the current video session and are cleared when you switch videos or restart the app. Commentary-only summaries are temporary: they can be reopened during the app session but are cleared on quit or sign-out. Export a summary if you want to keep it.
Agent access runs locally through the installed SlideSleuth Desktop app and can be turned off in Settings. Compatible agents can retrieve spoken text and preview summaries without signing in. Slide access follows the same preview and paid-plan permissions as the app. MCP retrieves evidence; it does not start analysis or invoke the app’s chat.
